Garden Railroad

Large scale models (G gauge) permit the combination of model railroading with landscaping and gardening. There is something special about the train moving through a natural landscape. The trains are stored inside, but the track and many of the buildings remain outside.

2010 New Motive Power Test

The CB&Q Garden Railroad recently acquired a new GP-38 road engine, so the first run of the season was a good test of the new equipment.

2011 Steam Lives!

The first locomotive purchased for my garden railroad was a Lionel 4-4-2 Atlantic in Great Northern paint. This spring I decided to dust it off, lube it up,and get it running.
